What does Evermore mean?

I really don’t know about you, guys, but I’ve never thought about this question before. Why should I? I mean, Evermore is a simple word that everyone of us might have ever heard, a word that everyone might think of as a synonymous for “forever“ It means this: for all the time in the future.

“For all the time in the future“ -Wow! You know what fascinates me about this? God is Evermore! He is for all the time in the future. And it doesn’t stop there:

His love is Evermore.

His word is Evermore.

His faithfulness is Evermore.

His grace is Evermore.

His promises are Evermore.

He IS Evermore.

You’re identity in Christ is Evermore. What He says about you is Evermore. Your calling is Evermore. There is absolutely nothing you can do to loose anything of it.

I really want you to know what Evermore is – it’s God himself. Nothing- no past, no lost battle, no sin, no mistake, no bad decision, reputation that is, too dirty, too big, too lost, too bad for His ‘Evermore’, it will all fade away, but He is Evermore and because of Him you are His forevermore.

Live in this truth, not just today but Evermore. Some of you may or may not have noticed the Bible verses behind this whole blog. You don’t? – I got you! You can find them in 1.Thessalonians 5:16 -24, saying:

“Rejoice evermore, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. Do not quench the Spirit. Do not treat prophecies with contempt but test them all; hold on to what is good, reject every kind of evil. May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful, and He will do it.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-24

Oh, how I love these last words! The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it. Remember what we said before? “His faithfulness is Evermore.” He is faithful and He will do it! Do you know what I love most about this passage? It’s the “He will do it“ -part. The “I’m not perfect but Heforgave me“-part, or the “I don’t have it all figured out, but He has“ – part, or the “I wasn’t worthy, but He said I am worthy” -part, or the “I couldn’t do it by myself but He already did it for me“-part, or the “I don’t know how to do it, but He will show me” -part.

I love that. It’s all about Him. He. will. do. it.

There’s nothing I need to do anymore. There’s nothing you need to do anymore, because He will do it. And it it our prayer that He may also do it through this blog
